IBM COURT CONNECT, 2011

THE BRIEF

Ogilvy was tasked to create a campaign for the US Open for Tennis tournament in 2011. This campaign must include OOH, print and digital media deliverables. IBM wanted us to create a special experience for fans.

THE IDEA

The idea was to aggregate tweets and Facebook posts about the US Open on a website we called Court Connect. We search for posts and tweets with keywords relating to the tournament and used the IBM Pointstream feed to append the tweet with a match statistics or a player fact or US Open fact. All facts from Pointstream, US Open facts and player facts were added and updated through the CMS system built using Django.

MY ROLE

I co-produced this project with Lauren Dobkin. My main responsibilities were to manage the website design and development teams during the planning and production phases, moderation management, as well as research for the tennis statistics. I also produced the digital display units for the campaign. Our production partners were Blenderbox, Mass Relevance and eModeration. Creative Credits go to Seth Rementer, Greg Gerstner, Uni Son.
